Club Meeting
October 24, 2012
I.                   Meeting called to order: 5:10 PM by President Lois Loya
II.                Officer Reports:

a.       New Stonewall QSA Logo (Voting).
b.      PR Community Outreach Committee (Meeting with Rose after main Meeting).
c.       New Logo is Logo 1, constructive criticism following after meeting.

a.       None.
5.      Historian:
a.       None.
III.             Interesting Information:
1.      Trans-Awareness Group Meeting at 3:00 PM on Friday October 24, 2012 at the Sexual and Gender Diversity Resource Center (SGDRC).
2.      Fall Festival (Carnival) for the GLBTQ Center on North Main, on October 28, 2012.
3.      Working out on how to get required Community Service Hours for being a member of Stonewall QSA.
a.       Possible Soup Kitchen.
4.      Creating Change Conference (ASNMSU will pay up to 49%)
a.       Possibly getting a group together to show presentations.
b.      Connect with other Universities.
c.       Connect with other Organizations.  
5.      One Student Day
a.       Awareness for Domestic Abuse and other things.
b.      11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the I-Mall.
6.      Vagina Monologues.
a.       Auditions coming soon (Talk to Rose for more information).
IV.             Old Business:
1.      Keep State Great attendance was poor, but thank you to everyone to came.
2.      Gay Jeopardy was a success, and thanks to Housing for co-sponsoring the event.
3.      Day of the Dead, meet with Jeanette.
V.                New Business:
1.      Trans Remembrance Day November 20, 2012.
a.       A Candle Light Vigil on November 15, 2012 since the 20th is on break.
b.      During Fall Break (Thanksgiving Week).
2.      Sex Health Awareness Month (February 2013).
a.       Female Orgasm
b.      Fetishes
c.       AIDS Awareness
d.      General Information over all the letters (meaning i.e. GLBTQI) in the “Queer” Community.
e.       Domestic Abuse among same sex relationships.
f.       Speakers (If you have someone who would like to speak at the event, speak to Lois.
g.      More information when available.
3.      Homecoming Committee Update.
a.       We have a loaned vehicle.
b.      Everything will be put together Friday evening
c.       Preparation for possible discrimination from the community.
d.      Full schedule will be posted on Active Members and on the main Facebook Page.
e.        Members participating must be there at 7:00 AM at Parking Lot 30 East of the PAN-AM.
f.       Parade starts a few hours after.
4.      Mean Girls (on hold until next semester).
a.       No Education Wavier.
b.      Going to aim for next semester.
c.       Cost $200 plus an additional $20 for prizes.
d.      PR person to create advertising.
5.      Vote for Homecoming King and Queen, Link is on the NMSU Website, and also on Canvas.
a.       Angie Thomas for Homecoming Queen.
b.      Lois Loya for Homecoming King.
c.       Link is on Facebook.
6.      White Sands Trip November 10, 2012.
a.       Possible joint venture with Utep QSA.
7.      Butch Ball November 8, 2012 at Lips Lounge in El Paso.

October 17, 2012
I.                    Meeting called to order: 5:03 PM by President Lois Loya
II.                 Officer Reports:
1.      President:

a.       PR Committee, meet with Rose.
3.      Secretary:
a. None.
4.      Treasurer:
a.       $253 made on National Coming Out Day.
b.      $475.50 total in the bank account.
c.       Determining whether the money raised should be used for the showing of Mean Girls.  Currently tabled until next meeting when more information is provided.
5.      Historian:
a.       None.
III.               Interesting Information:
1.      Freaky Friday this Friday October 19, 2012 in Corbett Center.
2.      Trans Awareness Group: Next meeting Friday October 26, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Sexual and Gender Diversity Resource Center (SGDRC) in the conference room.
3.      Public Health Student Organization, meeting tomorrow.  Talk to Ryan for information.
4.      Day of the Dead Alter, meet with Jeanette.
IV.              Old Business:
1.      Volunteering at the GLBTQ Center on October 28th, 2012.  Signup sheet going around.  More information will be posted about this event.
2.      National Coming Out Day and Dinner was a success! Lots of new members.
3.      Home Coming Committee.
a.       Jackie now chairman of the Home Coming Committee.
b.      Meet with Jackie for information regarding the Home Coming Float, etc…
V.                 New Business:
1.      Today is Love Your Body Day.
2.      No longer helping with the Fairy Ball for Southern New Mexico Pride.
3.      Saturday is Keep State Great from 8:45 AM to 12:00 PM.  Meeting location will be posted on Facebook.
4.      Monday October 22, 2012 at (time pending) Gay Jeopardy, in the Classroom behind where we have the meetings.

October 10, 2012
I.                    Meeting called to order: 5:01 PM by President Lois Loya.
II.                 Officer Reports:
1.      President: None.
2.      Vice President: None.
3.      Treasurer:
i.                     Business account created for Stonewall QSA at Wells Fargo.
ii.                   Card Reader now usable at Bake Sales and various other events.
iii.                  $222.50 currently in the account.
4.      Secretary: None.
5.      Historian:
i.                      Information (History) of Coming Out Day.
III.               Interesting Information:
1.      Possibly volunteering at a Soup Kitchen, it will help in getting volunteer hours (Contact Chynna for information).
2.      Possibly volunteering at a Food Bank, it will help in getting volunteer hours.
3.      Pagan Pride Day10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Young Park, they will be selling plants for various prices, and there are other vendors as well.
4.      Public Health Student Organization
i.                     One Student Awareness Event (Over Sexual Assault).
ii.                   November 1st, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
5.      Rocky Horror Picture Show Play
i.                     Completely Interactive
ii.                   Tickets are on sale now.
iii.                  Last show at the Hershel Zone Theater
iv.                 November 16th through December 2nd.
IV.              Old Business:
1.      National Coming Out Day Tabling Thursday October 11th, outside Corbett Center Student Union from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
2.      National Coming Out Day Bake Sale Thursday October 11th, outside Corbett Center Student Union from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
V.                 New Business:
1.      October 28th 2:00-6:00 PM GLBTQ Center Fall (Volunteer Sheet).
2.      Fall Fitness Festival October 13th 12:00-2:00PM (Volunteer Sheet).
3.      National Coming Out Day Dinner at Taos Thursday 5:00PM.
4.      National Coming Out Day Coming Out Stories in the Aggie Underground.
5.      Creating a Coming Out Book for the Resource Center.
6.      Creating Rainbow Flags and Ribbons for National Coming Out Day October 11th after the meeting.  May make flag for yourself. 
7.      Gay Jeopardy (Game, just like the real Jeopardy) October 22nd.  Stonewall QSA Hosting, RHA providing food and getting residents to come.
8.      Every Friday at 5:30 PM there is an Executive Meeting of the Officers that members may attend, however they are only allowed to watch.
9.      Friday October 12th, after the Executive Meeting there will be a showing of Mean Girls to help in making the quiz questions.
10.  Trans-Support Group at 3:00 PM on Friday, it goes on every other Friday at 3:00 PM in The Sexual and Gender Diversity Resource Center (SGDRC).

i.                    Aggies for Feminism.
ii.                  Meetings at 7:00PM Corbett, 2nd Floor on Mondays.
iii.                Love Your Body Day October 17th. Help the Feminism Group tabling?
iv.                New Logo Design (need to be a member of Committee for PR).
v.                  Sign up with Rose today if you’d like to be on the Committee.
