Club Meeting

September 26, 2012

I.                   Meeting called to order: 5:01PM President Luis Loya.

II.                Officer Reports:

1.      President:

i.                    Going to be meeting with the Dean of Students.

2.      Vice President:

i.                    Help with the Homecoming Committee.

ii.                  Theme is Culture of Aggie Pride.

iii.                Public Relations Committee.

iv.                Public Relations will design new logo/new banner for Stonewall QSA

v.                  Homecoming King and Queen nominees at next meeting October 3, 2012.

vi.                Requirements to be nominated: Must be a Junior or Senior and have a GPA of at least 2.0.

3.      Treasurer:

i.                    $152.26 made at the Bake Sale.

ii.                  $178 total in the account.

III.             Interesting Information:

1.      Rotaract Club meets at 6:00PM on Wednesdays at the Faculty Chambers in Garcia Annex.  If you have any questions talk to Joe.

2.      Feminist Club meeting, every Monday in Corbett, talk to Rose for times.

3.      Showing of Invisible Warrior in Corbett at 5:30PM in Corbett.

4.      Trans Awareness Group meetings are held Fridays at 3:00PM in the SGDRC, talk to Angie if you have any questions.

5.      Drag Pageant Friday at DACC East Mesa Campus.

6.      Banned Books Week, next week.

i.                    Readings outside Zhul, posting of times on library doors.

7.      Public Health Group to have a table in Corbett on Friday September 28, 2012 from 10:00Am to 2:00PM.

i.                    Club meetings every Thursday (Talk to Jessica for times and location).

ii.                  Table to have information over GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms)

8.      Whole Enchilada Festival starting Friday September 28, 2012 through Sunday September 30, 2012.

IV.             Old Business:

1.      None

V.                New Business:

1.      Keep State Great Community Service October 20, 2012.  Members are required to do community service to be considered a relevant member in Stonewall QSA as stated by the By-laws.

2.      Sedxo Speaker coming to the next meeting October 3, 2012.

i.                    Members, who have questions, talk to Luis for approval.

3.      Group Photo after the next meeting October 3, 2012.

i.                    Dress up if you’d like.

4.      Thanksgiving Donations, teaming up with the Roundup.

i.                    New items only, no food.

ii.                  Donation box will be placed in the SGDRC.

5.      Saturday November 10, 2012 Whitesands Trip.

i.                    Car pooling

ii.                  Stay the day, have fun.

iii.                Have members pitch in for food and gas.

6.      Fairy Ball Southern NM Pride (Pending).

i.                    Prizes

ii.                  Haunted House Halloween night.

iii.                Have a table setup (possibly)

iv.                Setup for dance.

7.      Dia De Los Muertos Alter.

i.                    Talk to Jeanette if interested in helping.

ii.                  Signup Sheet.
